Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SiftQ (the “Service”), operated by [Legal Entity / DBA Name] (“SiftQ,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SiftQ provides AI-assisted hiring tools, including job-post generation, pay benchmarks, screening-question drafting, and resume analysis. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may change over time.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act on behalf of your organization.
3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
Paid plans are billed at the price shown at sign-up (currently $9.99/month). New organizations may be offered a free trial (currently 60 days). One free trial is available per organization (identified by email domain). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically renews and your payment method is charged the then-current fee each billing period until you cancel. We will send a reminder approximately 15 days before your trial ends. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We disclose renewal terms clearly at checkout. Plans include fair-use limits (currently up to 50 AI job posts and 500 resume analyses per month, with daily throttles to prevent abuse); we may adjust limits with notice, and higher-volume plans are available by contacting us.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating laws; uploading content you lack rights to; attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; or using it to make unlawfully discriminatory hiring decisions.
5. AI output & hiring decisions
SiftQ uses artificial intelligence to generate drafts and guidance. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided to assist — not replace— your judgment. You are solely responsible for your hiring decisions and for complying with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and equal-opportunity laws (e.g., EEOC guidelines). Resume “fit” signals are advisory and must not be used as the sole basis for any adverse decision.
6. Your content & data
You retain ownership of the content you submit (job details, resumes, candidate data). You grant us a license to process it to provide the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload candidate information. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6a. Feedback & service improvement
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you. We may also analyze submissions and usage patterns in aggregated or de-identified form to improve the Service and develop new products and features (for example, identifying roles and workflows that can be assisted or automated with AI). We do not use candidates' personal information for this purpose, and our AI provider does not train its models on your data.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software and branding, is owned by SiftQ and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and SiftQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
